Explorer's Camp 2008 3rd - 5th Grade Adventures: BioBlitz- will explore biodiversity of plants and animals and the effects of human impact on them. Throughout the course of the week the campers will do bio- assessments on terrestrial as well as aquatic ecosystems. June 15th-29th, 2009 Game-On - The athletes make it look so easy, but in Game-On camp we will look at secret science behind their success. Exploring the body, the laws of physics and equipment, 3rd - 5th grade campers will walk away looking at sports in a whole new light. Camper will see demonstrations, try out moves themselves and conduct experiments that help us discover the science of sports. June 15th-19th, 2009 Just Beneath the Surface- Have you ever wondered what makes a pond a pond? Campers entering 3rd - 5th grade who chose to join us in looking beneath the surface will discover for themselves the secrets behind this mysterious aquatic world. They will start by examining the water itself and then peer into the depths to find insects, tadpoles, fish, microscopic organisms and more. June 22nd- 26th, 2009 Critter Camp II - Learn the mysteries of small critters native to North Texas. Campers will build their own insect collection net and use it through out the week collecting and investigating terrestrial and aquatic invertebrates. They will discover insects are everywhere and how to identify, classify, rear, mount, release and not be afraid of the "creepy crawlies." On the last day of camp, campers will hold the 2nd annual Critter Camp Bug Banquet. Don't miss out of this exciting camp! June 22nd-26th, 2009 Astro-Kid Academy- Join a week of astronaut training! Astro-Kid campers will explore the universe, learn a little about the physical and mental preparation for space exploration & the science behind launching a NASA shuttle as well as their own rockets, and explore the International Space Station. Part of their training, like real astronauts will take place in the semi-weightless environment of a pool! June 29th- July 3rd, 2009 Journey to the

Join us on a
journey through time, as we explore the Geological Time Scale!
Participants will discover Geological changes over the past billions of
years, and will take a close look at the creatures who walked, fle Good Vibrations - Where does sound come from? What kind of sounds are created by combining instruments? How are sounds different in brass instruments versus string instruments? How does the human ear process these sounds? Design your own instrument and create your own sound. This will be the camp heard 'round the campus. July 6th- 10th, 2009
